Job summary

Children’s Advocacy Center of Charlotte is seeking a Bilingual Specialist to support intake coordination and advocacy for children and families. The role includes coordinating forensic interviews, medical appointments, and crisis support, with after-hours coverage on some weekends and holidays.

The Specialist will work on-site, collaborating with investigators, clinicians, and caregivers to ensure timely, compassionate services.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (Spanish) required for intake coordination and advocacy.
• Bachelor of Social Work or related field required.
• Two years’ experience in child welfare field.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries regarding possible evaluations and coordinate with partners.
• Conduct intakes and schedule services.
• Explain forensic interview and medical evaluation processes within investigations.
• Collect and document demographic and psychosocial data accurately.
• Coordinate transportation and interpreters as needed.
• Maintain documentation and data collection.
• Provide caregiver support before and during interviews and evaluations.
• Provide case management and connect families to trauma-informed therapies.
• Follow up with families until case closure and coordinate MDT involvement.
• Participate in MDT meetings, trainings, and staff gatherings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
