Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Chief Engineer (Branch) responsible for daily repair and preventative maintenance of industrial textile processing equipment and facility systems. The role supervises staff and assists in start-up/shut-down procedures, electrical troubleshooting, boiler operation, welding, hydraulics, and more, reporting to the Branch General Manager.

Qualifications include 5+ years in maintenance engineering, PLC programming, and strong electrical skills; a boiler license or PLC cert

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of maintenance engineering experience with machinery, electricity, electronics, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, welder, and boiler applications.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability on 3-phase 230-volt systems.
• PLC programming experience.
• Experience in carpentry, boiler repair, welding, and general facility repairs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain operating equipment in satisfactory condition.
• Supervise plant engineering staff and coordinate with production, sales, and service.
• Manage spare parts inventories cost-effectively.
• Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems.
• Ensure safety and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Train and develop engineering staff for safety and efficiency.
• Advise on parts, supplies, and equipment requirements and control inventory.
