Job summary

Suvida Healthcare in Austin, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians and keep the clinic operating smoothly. You will handle administrative and clinical tasks, maintain patient records, prepare patients and rooms for examinations, and assist with exams.

Responsibilities include in-room diagnostic testing, medication administration as ordered by providers, updating patient histories, and coordinating with care teams to ensure continuity of care for our Medicare-eligible

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or Registration with CCMA, CMA, RMA, or NCMA.
• Experience with EMR and medical terminology.
• Previous experience in a specific medical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• IM/PO medication administration as ordered by provider
• Minor Procedures (Minor Wound Care, Suture and Staple Removal, etc.)
• Assist with in-room diagnostic testing (X-Ray, US, etc.)
• Vitals
• Update Patient Medical History
• Chief Complaints and recent changes to mental, social, physical health
• Review provider orders with patient
• Review referrals with patient
• Review normal/stable labs or diagnostic tests with patient and forward any concerns to provider
• Reinforcing understanding and adherence to careplan
• Respond to patient calls/messages same day
• Collaborate with Medical Assistants, Transitions of Care Team, Chronic Care Team, and other members ofthe multidisciplinary care team for continuity of care
• Other duties assigned by provider
