Job summary

ENGLEWOOD ORTHOPEDIC ASSOCIATES is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant who is bilingual in English and Spanish for full-time roles in the Englewood Cliffs area. The position involves working at Fair Lawn and Paramus offices, with supervision from a Team Lead.

The CMA will perform essential medical assistant duties, take patient vitals, instruct patients, fit splints and DME, manage calls, triage messages, and maintain medical records in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with CMA credential.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Experience taking patient vitals and assisting in examinations.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical assistant procedures under the supervision of a physician or physician assistant.
• Takes patient vitals and assists in examinations.
• Gives instructions to patients as directed by a physician.
• Fits patients with splints and DME devices
• Takes telephone messages and provides feedback to patient/physician/pharmacy calls
• Triages and processes physician messages
• Keeps medical records in accordance with procedures and forms
• Follows principles of medical ethics for medical assistants
• Keeps rooms stocked with medical supplies and sterilizes instruments as required
