Job summary

Central Fill Pharmacy in Yakima, WA, is seeking a Central Fill Specialty Pharmacy Technician. You will manage patient intake, enter prescriptions into the EMR, and coordinate insurance coverage with prior authorizations and billing support.

The role requires a WA Pharmacy Tech license, 1 year of pharmacy experience, and bilingual compensation options. 100% employer-paid health insurance and retirement options are included. This on-site position offers 40 hours weekly and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Washington State Pharmacy Technician license.
• Experience with specialty discount programs and Ryan White is preferred.
• One year of pharmacy experience preferred.
• This role offers bilingual differential compensation with ALTA 9 and Spanish preferred at level 10.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intake and enter prescription data into the EMR.
• Screen patients for prescription coverage and resolve constraints.
• Submit and track prior authorizations and claims approvals.
• Identify patients for assistance programs or copay support.
• Make monthly adherence outreach calls to reengage patients.
• Support the Pharmacy Call Center and triage patient calls.
• Resolve billing rejections and rebill appropriately.
• Collaborate with billing and clinic staff on third-party issues.
• Serve as primary third-party billing resource for outpatient pharmacy.
• Educate staff on third-party billing policies and provide tech support.
