Job summary

University of the District of Columbia invites applications for adjunct instructors to teach Child Development Associate (CDA) instructional hours in Spanish as a two-part CDA I and II. Responsibilities include delivering content via lectures, discussions, labs, and projects, and using diverse methods aligned with the course contract.

The successful candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, show teaching potential, and be familiar with certification processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in subject matter area.
• Prior teaching experience in the subject field/industry or evidence of teaching potential.
• Must possess current certification in subject matter (same as course).
• Familiar with subject area certification processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, differentiated instruction per the schedule.
• Develop syllabi, lesson plans, and select instructional materials.
• Manage classroom effectively and communicate course outcomes.
• Post syllabus, assignments, and materials via the LMS, and communicate with students.
