Career Consultant, Associate
The focus of the Career Consultant position is to provide individualized support and strategies for candidates in transition to help them identify career options and achieve successful outcomes. This could include transitioning to a new position, making a career shift, pursuing entrepreneurship, or active retirement.

- Reports to the Lead Consultant.

Location:
- Southern California, Arizona, or Colorado - Remote. While this role is remote, applicants must reside within the specified regions.
Languages:
- English and Chinese (Mandarin) fluency highly preferred.
In this role you can expect to:
- Assist candidates with a broad spectrum of career transition needs, including managing change, assessing skills and interests, defining career goals, identifying options, guiding resume and LinkedIn profile development, interviewing, negotiating, and onboarding.
- Support candidates in building confidence, assessing skills, and creating a tailored career marketing plan aligned with their experience, interests, and current job market trends.
- Proactively engage, motivate, and guide candidates in utilizing LHH resources and technology tools.
- Demonstrate expertise in current job-related technology, including LinkedIn, AI, ChatGPT, ATS, and research databases.
- Help candidates connect to jobs based on an understanding of market trends and industry/professional groups.
- Educate and motivate candidates on leveraging LHH tools and resources, including participation in various LHH programs and platforms, in compliance with governmental requirements.
- Provide coaching during interviews and salary negotiations to help candidates confidently navigate the job search process.
- Manage time and priorities related to program deliverables, candidate reporting, customer projects, and participate in training and events as applicable.
All About You
- Preferred 8+ years of experience in Career Consulting or related fields such as HR, recruitment, career/leadership development, training, or management consulting.
- Business/industry experience across diverse sectors like IT, finance, pharma, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, marketing, or hospitality.
- Strong expertise in job markets to assist individuals in assessing and fitting their skills across industries and roles.
- Knowledge of Talent Acquisition strategies, including ATS, sourcing, screening, salary negotiations, and collaboration with recruiters.
- Proficiency with technology tools such as Zoom, Teams, online portals, and MS Office.
- Strong service orientation, curiosity, and a passion for helping individuals find viable career options.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple roles, combining coaching, empathy, and analytical skills.
- College degree preferred.
