Job summary

Mothers Against Media Addiction is seeking a California Organizing Manager to lead a new CA-based initiative. The role focuses on engaging Latine, Black, Indigenous, AAPI, and immigrant communities, recruiting Chapter Leaders, and driving civic action in tech accountability campaigns.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years in grassroots organizing, strong bilingual communication, and deep community partnerships in Sacramento.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience in grassroots organizing, field organizing, membership engagement, or issue campaigning.
• Bilingual English/Spanish with written and spoken fluency required.
• Experience building deep partnerships within Latine, Black, AAPI, and/or Indigenous communities.
• Knowledge of California’s legislative landscape, and advocacy experience in Sacramento.
• Demonstrated proactive organizing capability with the ability to initiate and lead community outreach independently.
• Experience integrating digital and in-person organizing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and develop Chapter Leaders; build a robust California chapter network.
• Manage Chapter Leaders and member communications; conduct regular check-ins.
• Build partnerships with Latino, Black, Indigenous, and immigrant organizations in CA.
• Design and execute local, cultural, and education campaigns; support volunteers.
• Track engagement and organize data using CRM tools; report progress.
• Sustain chapter operations and leadership development over time.
