The Restaurant Store in Reading, PA is seeking a Field Marketing Associate to promote the benefits of shopping with TRS across the local market. You will represent the branch positively and drive objectives through field marketing and indirect sales strategies aligned with our sales and leadership teams.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in retail or field marketing, knowledge of MS Office, and reliability in transportation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or field marketing / sales.
• Food Service Industry experience.
• Experience using MS Office Suite to maintain business-to-business relationships.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with TRS customer base, including food service operators and owners.
• Navigate company software & technology to support customer needs and position requirements.
• Plan efficient travel routes to meet local business customers regularly.
• Increase local branch sales by converting new prospects into active customers.
• Communicate customer buying trends and competitor information to local store teams.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of available products.

The Field Marketing Associate will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective field marketing and indirect sales strategies that align with the goals of our sales and leadership teams.

The Field Marketing Associate with The Restaurant Store is responsible for communicating the advantages of shopping with TRS in a clean and concise manner across the local market area, while consistently portraying a positive representation of their local branch. The Field Marketing Associate will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective field marketing and indirect sales strategies that align with the goals of our sales and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

• Ability to effectively communicate with TRS customer base, including but not limited to food service business operators and owners
• Ability to navigate company software & technology to support customer needs and position requirements
• Ability to plan efficient travel routes to meet with local business customers on recurring basis
• Increase local branch sales by converting new prospects into active customers and re-engaging inactive and lapsed customers into regular purchasers with TRS
• Communicate pertinent information to sales team at local branch through established communication methods
• Communicate customer buying trends and competitor information to local store by providing relevant competitor invoices
• Develop and maintain knowledge of available products

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or field marketing / sales
• Food Service Industry experience
• Experience using MS Office Suite to maintain business-to-business relationships

Education

• Previous experience in the restaurant industry is a plus
• Must possess reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
