Job summary

The Latin American Association in Georgia seeks a Benefits Enrollment Specialist/WIC Navigator to support the Family Well-Being Department. You will conduct bilingual pre-screenings, intake clients, and guide them through programs like SNAP, Medicaid, TANF, WIC and CAPS, while coordinating referrals to health, legal, and social services.

Ideal candidates are bilingual in English and Spanish with strong communication skills and comfort using computers for data entry and case management.

Qualifications

• Fluency in both English and Spanish - REQUIRED.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent computer skills and office administration skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Provide bilingual pre-screenings to determine public benefits eligibility.
• Give clients a brief orientation about the Family Well-Being Department and intake clients.
• Assist with referrals to stabilizing community resources and supports.
• Follow up at 60 days to confirm benefits receipt and provide ongoing support.
• Support food pantry activities and participate in distribution events.
• Assist with data entry and public benefits intake logs.
