Job summary

Centria Autism in Kalamazoo, MI is hiring enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum under the supervision of a BCBA.

You will implement individualized behavior intervention plans, teach communication, social and daily living skills, and participate in ongoing training. The role requires patience, teamwork, and a willingness to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with BCBA and team.
