Job summary

ABS Kids is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to support children with autism in client homes. The role uses ABA techniques, play, and data collection to teach real-life skills, with an emphasis on safety and progress tracking.

Applicants should be bilingual (Spanish/English preferred), have 6+ months of relevant experience, reliable transportation, and comfort using data collection software. Training on the job is provided.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience working with children or adults with special needs.
• Fluent in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes and other locations.
• Tech savviness - learn our data collection software and use basic office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to clients with autism spectrum disorder.
• Use play, ABA therapy to teach real-life skills.
• Collect and record data on client behavior and progress.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for clients and staff.
• Help the child develop essential life skills such as motor skills, personal hygiene, daily living, potty training, social and emotional skills.
• Get up and down off floor often, move quickly.
