Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is hiring a Bakery Clerk to support daily bakery operations, mix and prepare dough, and provide excellent customer service. You will assist with inventory, product rotation, and maintain clean, safe bakery areas.

Candidate should have basic kitchen skills, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. This position involves standing for long periods and lifting light loads in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products.
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing.
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery.
• Maintaining records of customer orders.
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately.
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained.
• Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics.
