Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado seeks a Bakery Clerk to support the bakery department with dough preparation, scaling ingredients, and maintaining product freshness. You will help with inventory and customer orders while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will work in a team-oriented environment, providing friendly service and assisting with cake orders, ensuring proper temperatures and cleanliness across the bakery area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts, tarts, cookies, and related bakery products.
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing.
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery.
• Maintaining records of customer orders.
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately.
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained.
• Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics.
