Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado is seeking a Bakery Clerk in Grand Prairie, TX. You will mix and measure ingredients, form dough, and assist with inventory and rotation while maintaining safe food handling and quality customer service.

The role requires basic kitchen skills, adherence to production schedules, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Bilingual English/Spanish is valued to serve a diverse team and customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic kitchen skills and familiarity with bakery work.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for recipes, roll, cut, and shape dough to form rolls, pie crusts tarts, cookies, and related bakery products.
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing.
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery
• Maintaining records of customer orders
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained
• Rotation of merchandise in accordance with labels and maintain department plan-o-grams and schematics
