Job summary

You will monitor temperatures, assist with inventory, rotate stock, and maintain a clean, organized bakery area. A High School Diploma is required, basic kitchen skills, and bilingual ability in English and Spanish. You must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department.

Responsibilities

• Mix and measure ingredients to form dough or batter for bakery products.
• Cut, peel and prepare fruit for pie fillings, baking cakes, and preparing icing.
• Training assistants and maintaining cleanliness of the bakery.
• Maintaining records of customer orders.
• Provide quality customer service and take cake orders.
• Ensure cleaning supplies are stored separately.
• Ensure cooler and freezer temperatures are correct and maintained.
• Rotation of merchandise and maintaining department plan-o-grams and schematics.
