Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to provide high-level service to retail and installer customers, while supporting store management in daily tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, and candidates with ASE certification are preferred.

The role involves cash handling, merchandise stocking, and various in-store services as needed. Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with parts selection, processing transactions, and addressing complaints.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Provide outstanding, friendly, professional customer service.
• Must multitask, handling in-store and phone customers.
• Familiar with automotive parts, cataloging systems, and automotive sales/service.
• ASE certification required.
• Fluency in multiple languages, Spanish highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Greet retail/walk-in customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Support store management and installers with professional customers.
• Answer store calls, lookup parts, quote prices, and promote related items.
• Maintain and secure cash drawer; handle cash, checks, and card transactions.
• Process exchanges/returns per policy and resolve complaints.
• Assist with image maker, planogram updates, stock, and cleanliness.
• Perform daily operational tasks including stock adjustments, cycle counts, and returns.
• Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training.
