Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver high levels of service to retail and installer customers and to assist store management in daily tasks.

This role emphasizes friendly, professional customer service, accurate cash handling, and the ability to multitask between in-store and phone inquiries. Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged to apply and to support a diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Provide outstanding, friendly and professional customer service.
• Must be able to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in the store at the same time.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
• Familiar with automotive parts and related cataloging systems; ASE certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote customer service programs (Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, etc).
• Greet customers and assist them in merchandise selection.
• Assist managers and installer service specialists with professional customers.
• Complete assigned company training relevant to position.
• Answer store phone, look up parts, quote prices, and upsell items.
• Handle cash drawer, process payments, and make change.
• Process exchanges and returns per policy.
• Address and resolve customer complaints.
• Assist with image maker and planogram updates, stocking shelves and related tasks.
• Perform daily operational tasks including returns to distribution center and stock counts.
• Operate brake lathe and store test equipment after training.
• Provide in-store services (install wipers, test batteries, scan codes, etc.).
• Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle when needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
