Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking an Austrian-qualified Wirtschaftsprüfer to lead audit engagements for Austrian-owned companies operating in the U.S. The role requires 5–10+ years of audit experience and fluency in German and English.

You will manage audits under US GAAP, Austrian GAAP, and IFRS, while supporting business development and cross-border advisory projects. The position is full-time, based in Charlotte, NC, with domestic and international travel.

Qualifications

• Austrian-qualified auditor with 5–10+ years of audit experience.
• Fluent in German and English with strong communication skills.
• Willing to travel both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit engagements under US GAAP, Austrian GAAP (UGB), and IFRS.
• Serve as the primary contact for Austrian middle-market clients.
• Support business development initiatives and cross-border advisory projects.
• Mentor audit teams with an independent, structured working style.
• Collaborate with tax professionals on interdisciplinary client matters.
• Advise clients on designing and implementing international transactions.
• Prepare for CPA exam and pursue ongoing professional development.
