Job summary

NorthPoint Search Group is seeking a German Audit & Tax Associate in Atlanta, GA to support audit engagements and tax return preparation for German-owned U.S. subsidiaries. You will conduct technical research, communicate with team leaders and clients, and ensure timely deliverables.

This role is full-time and based in our U.S. offices with opportunities for growth. The position requires strong German and English communication, accounting education, and a drive for professional development.

Qualifications

• Proficient German written and verbal communication.
• BA/BS in Accounting or Master’s in Accounting/Taxation.
• Strong English writing, research, and communication skills.
• Analytical, process-driven mindset with problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit engagements for clients across manufacturing and distribution industries.
• Develop and execute audit programs by setting objectives, identifying risks, evaluating controls, and designing test procedures.
• Assist with preparing tax returns and related client communications.
• Prepare Federal and state corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
• Perform technical accounting research across topics.
• Deliver high-quality services and work products.
• Maintain active communication with clients and team members to ensure expectations are met.
• Prepare clear, concise workpapers and documentation.
• Manage workload priorities and provide status updates to supervisors.
