Job summary

Hire Up Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Collector for a 100% on-site role in Northwest Houston/Jersey Village. The temp-to-hire position requires bilingual English/Spanish skills and a focus on collecting past-due balances, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining detailed account records.

Responsibilities include making outbound calls, negotiating payment arrangements, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely payments.

Qualifications

Experience in accounts receivable or collections.
Bilingual English/Spanish required.
Experience with high-volume AR or collections is a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage an assigned portfolio of customer accounts and monitor past-due balances.
Make outbound collection calls to customers in English and Spanish.
Follow up on outstanding balances, promised payments, and payment arrangements.
Investigate billing discrepancies, payment issues, and account delinquencies.
Work directly with customers to resolve account questions and secure payment.
Collaborate with sales, operations, stores, and other internal departments to resolve account issues.
Monitor past-due and over-credit-limit accounts and take appropriate collection action.
Process and document customer payments as needed.
Maintain detailed account notes, collection records, payment arrangements, and follow-up activity.
Escalate complex or high-risk accounts when appropriate.
Maintain a professional, customer-service-focused approach throughout the collection process.
