Job summary

The Arizona Humane Society in Phoenix is seeking a Bilingual Animal Assistance Specialist to join our Animal Assistance team. This full-time role runs Thursday through Monday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, focusing on creating a positive experience for pets and people at every interaction.

You will assist with intake, surrender-prevention resources, field support for large intakes, and return-to-owner services, and help educate the community about AHS programs and resources.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Minimum of one year providing exemplary customer service.
• Must love working with pets and people.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent experience for pets and people at every interaction.
• Assist with intake of owned and stray animals and surrender-prevention resources.
• Support end-of-life services when needed and assist with related duties.
• Assist Field Operations with large-scale intakes and sick or injured animals.
• Provide return-to-owner services and help owners locate lost pets.
• Tell the AHS story and relay mission and resources during interactions.
