Job summary

Chester County Intermediate Unit in Oxford, PA, is hiring part-time Instructional Assistants for the 21st Century Community Learning Center program. You will support middle and high school students, including English Language Learners, under the Student Services Division.

This role emphasizes planning and delivering supplemental educational activities, coordinating with parents and school staff, and encouraging parent involvement with translation support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bilingual/bicultural experience preferred.
• Experience with the applicable age group preferred.
• Computer and current technology knowledge required.
• Act 33 and 34 clearances and federal criminal history background check required.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementation of supplemental educational programs.
• Assist with regular communication with participating students' parents, teachers, guidance counselors and administrators, as necessary.
• Assist with facilitation of the involvement of parents in the education of their children and in the dissemination of information, using translation/interpretation services, as needed.
• Assist with the planning and implementation of parent involvement activities within the 21st Century Community Learning Center program.
