Job summary

Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant to work with elementary school students in the 21st Century Community Learning Center Program in Phoenixville. The role requires supporting English Language Learners and providing academic support.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and experience with bilingual students. Responsibilities include assisting with educational program implementation and parent communication.

Hourly pay ranges from $19.38 to $23.19 depending on qualifications. The schedule is Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience working with bilingual/bicultural students preferred.
• Experience with elementary school age students preferred.
• Knowledge of computer and current technology required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementation of supplemental educational programs.
• Communicate with students' parents, teachers, and administrators as necessary.
• Facilitate parent involvement in education, providing translation as needed.
