Job summary

Chinese Culture Connection (CCC) seeks a creative, responsible Chinese after-school teacher for kindergarten through grade 6, Monday–Friday from 2:30 to 5:30 pm in Malden, MA. Summer work may be available.

Plan and implement a Chinese language curriculum, foster a safe, supportive learning environment, and promote growth across social and academic areas. Requirements include an associate or bachelor’s degree in teaching or related field, prior experience with school-age children, and bilingual

Qualifications

Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in teaching, early childhood education, Chinese/Asian studies, or related field.
Experience working with school-age children in after-school settings or similar roles.
Ability to foster a fun, safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
Strong knowledge of child behavior and learning patterns.
Bilingual Mandarin and English (speaking and writing) required.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and implement an approved Chinese language curriculum (language, arts, poems, songs).
Oversee daily activities to develop Chinese language skills and other subjects.
Provide a nurturing, safe, and engaging learning environment.
Interact with children to guide and motivate toward tasks.
Collaborate with team on newsletters and progress reports.
