Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements for subject and level assigned.
• ESL certification required for K-5 RLA or self contained special education or general education classroom assignments.
• ESL certification preferred for Math, Science, Social Studies teaching assignments.
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Student teaching or approved internship.
• Physically able to monitor student discipline and progress and to meet other student needs as required.
• Physically able to move about the room to perform formative assessments and facilitate small and large group instruction.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that fulfill district curriculum requirements.
• Prepare lessons with accommodations and differentiation for varied learning styles.
• Present subject matter according to TEA guidelines and district policies.
• Collaborate with staff for planning instructional goals and best practices.
• Design or adapt learning experiences using digital tools to promote learning.
• Assist in selecting books, equipment, and instructional materials.
