Qualifications

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• At least one year of student teaching, approved internship or clinical teaching.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the district curriculum requirements and show written evidence of preparation.
• Prepare lessons reflecting accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
• Present subject matter per guidelines from TEA, board policies, and district guidelines.
• Plan and use appropriate instructional strategies and materials for diverse learning needs.
• Conduct assessment of student learning styles and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for IEPs.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides and volunteers.
• Use technology to strengthen teaching and learning processes.
• Maintain open communication with parents, students, principals and teachers.
• Monitor student achievement through formal and informal assessments.
