Job summary

Bay Area Foot Care is seeking a bilingual podiatrist fluent in Spanish to join our Bay Area team. You will provide routine and referral podiatric services under the CMO, diagnosing and treating foot and ankle conditions across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include wound care, prescribing therapies or surgery, and educating patients. A California podiatry license, DPM degree, and completed residency are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and able to communicate with a diverse patient population.
• Current California Podiatry license and completed podiatric residency.
• Proficient with EMR systems and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Examine feet and ankles to diagnose and treat podiatric conditions.
• Provide wound care and manage foot and ankle diseases.
• Prescribe medications, devices, therapies, or surgical options as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and preventive foot care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with care teams.

Bay Area Foot Care is a leading podiatry practice in the Bay Area dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love. We have 15 convenient locations in the East Bay, North Bay, San Francisco, and Peninsula.

Bay Area Foot Care is looking for a bilingual Spanish-speaking podiatrist to join our team. Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• Perform Wound Care management
• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
• Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
• Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
• Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
• Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients

Requirements

• Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
• Fluent in Spanish
• Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database

Education and Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
• Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of California
• Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
• Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
