Job summary

Bay Area Foot Care in the Bay Area is seeking a podiatrist to serve the Los Gatos community. Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.

The role requires a CA license and completed podiatric residency. You will examine and treat foot and ankle conditions, perform wound care, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe therapies, and educate patients and families on foot health.

Qualifications

Licensed Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in California.
Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program.
Minimum 3 years professional experience preferred.
Fluent in Spanish for patient communication.

Responsibilities

Examine patients' legs and feet to diagnose diseases.
Treat foot and ankle bone, muscle, and joint disorders.
Perform wound care management.
Diagnose using histories, physicals, x‑rays, and lab results.
Prescribe medications, devices, therapy, or surgery.
Advise and educate patients on treatments and prevention.
Maintain medical records for assigned patients.

Description

Bay Area Foot Care is looking for a podiatrist to serve our Los Gatos community. Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.

Responsibilities

Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
Perform Wound Care management
Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, physical examinations, x-rays, and laboratory test results
Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients

Requirements

Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
Fluent in Spanish
Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database
