Job summary

Bay Area Foot Care in the Bay Area is seeking a Podiatrist to serve the Los Gatos community. Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.

Duties include examining, diagnosing, and treating foot/ankle conditions, performing wound care, and educating patients. CA license and residency required; strong communication and Spanish skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Current License as a Podiatrist in California
• Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an accredited school
• Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
• Minimum of three years professional experience preferred
• Fluent in Spanish and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Examine legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders of feet/ankles
• Perform wound care management
• Diagnose using medical histories, X-rays, and labs
• Prescribe medications, devices, therapy, or surgery
• Advise on treatments and preventive care
• Educate patients, families, and care teams
• Promote health and preventive medicine
• Maintain medical records for patients

Bay Area Foot Care is a leading podiatry practice in the Bay Area dedicated to helping people of all ages and lifestyles get back to enjoying the activities they love. We have 15 convenient locations in the Bay Area.

Bay Area Foot Care is looking for a podiatrist to serve our Los Gatos community. Under the direction of the CMO, the Podiatrist provides routine and referral podiatric services to patients.

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders affecting the feet and ankles
• Perform Wound Care management
• Diagnose diseases and deformities of the foot and ankle using medical histories, x-rays, and laboratory test results
• Prescribes medications, corrective devices, physical therapy, or surgery
• Advise patients about treatments and foot and ankle care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems
• Provide education/consultation to patients, family, and health care team
• Provide health promotion and preventive medicine
• Maintain appropriate medical records on assigned patients

Requirements

• Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care
• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities
• Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
• Fluent in Spanish
• Be proficient with computers, and have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, EMR database

Education and Experience

• Minimum of three (3) years professional experience preferred
• Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of California
• Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry
• Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program
