Job summary

Motivate is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to oversee the safe and efficient daily activities of battery swapping (field-based) and battery charging (in-warehouse) for bikeshare operations in the greater New York City area.

You will supervise hourly operational staff, drive process improvements, train employees, and ensure safety and performance standards are met. The role starts with a morning shift (Friday–Tuesday, 4:00 am–12:00 pm) and may shift based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising hourly field and warehouse teams.
• Experience with bikeshare or e-bikes preferred.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of battery swapping drivers and charging teams.
• Schedule shifts and supervise performance against metrics.
• Lead daily standups and safety topics.
• Identify process improvements and train staff.
• Ensure safety and quality control processes are followed.
