The role emphasizes driving shop throughput, maintaining quality, and building community engagement while upholding REI’s values and commitment to inclusive, anti-racist practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail management experience.
• Completion of required training/certifications in the role.
• 2-4 years of bike and/or ski shop experience or transferable skills.
• Sets standards and holds team members accountable to service goals.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritization abilities.
• Open to feedback and different viewpoints to support the business.

Responsabilités

• Own and lead the customer and employee experience across channels.
• Coach, train, recognize, and manage performance of staff.
• Recruit and hire a diverse, technically-skilled workforce.
• Train, certify, and develop shop team to perform service functions.
• Manage shop throughput to meet customer demand and REI standards.
• Drive productivity while maintaining quality to meet customer needs.
• Keep shop equipment maintained, organized, and safe.
