Job summary

Jobgether is partnering to fill a Merchandise Manager, Bike role based in the United States. You will lead strategy and financial performance for a broad cycling category across five banners, combining buying, sourcing, vendor negotiations, and inventory management.

You will mentor buyers and junior merchants, manage open-to-buy, and drive sales, gross margin, and assortment quality with a data-driven approach and strong supplier partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 10+ years in retail buying/merchandising with strategic sourcing and vendor management.
• Experience in inventory management, demand forecasting, procurement optimization, and category finance.
• Direct cycling industry experience and supplier relationships preferred.
• Experience mentoring a buying team is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead category strategy and financial performance across bikes, frames, and components.
• Own open-to-buy budgets and drive sales, margins, and turnover.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and promotions with suppliers to improve category results.
• Manage SKU and PO workflows, inventory flow, and replenishment decisions.
• Ensure accurate product specs, build-kit configurations, and cross-functional alignment.
• Collaborate with Planning, Marketing, and Creative on promotions and assortments.
• Mentor buyers and junior merchants and build supplier partnerships.
