Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security experience in a high-volume, upscale venue environment.
• Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's background check requirements.
• Neat and professional appearance.
• Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members.
• Flexible schedule including availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Proven ability to de-escalate situations.

Responsibilities

Big Night Entertainment Group is hosting open interviews for our available security officer positions! We will be hosting open interviews on Wednesday, September 23rd, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at The Grand for security opportunities at the following locations:

• Big Night Live
• Memoire
• Scorpion Bar Boston
• The Grand
• Empire
• BSMNT
• Scorpion Bar Patriot Place

Appointments are not required.

Typical Responsibilities

As a Security Officer, a typical day might include the following:

• Greeting guests and providing them with fast, friendly service
• Accurately checking guest identification
• Ensuring all dress code procedures are being enforced
• Monitoring guest consumption of alcohol and intervening when needed according to company guidelines
• Promoting Big Night Entertainment Group in a positive and professional manner
• Handling situations quickly, efficiently, and safely
• Diffusing difficult situations
• Ensuring safety of both guests and staff throughout the entire venue
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:

• At least 1 year previous security experience in a high-volume, upscale food and beverage environment and/or nightclub
• Must be able to pass Big Night Entertainment Group's requirements in regards to legal background check
• You present a neat and professional appearance
• Ability to communicate effectively and accurately with customers, the public and co-workers
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork with other staff members
• You have flexibility with schedule which includes availability to work nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Proven ability to de-escalate issues
