Position Overview

KBR is seeking a Big Data Systems Engineer to support the Test Resource Management Center’s (TRMC) Big Data and Knowledge Management Team. This remote position involves deploying BD and KM systems for DoD testing ranges and acquisition programs.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and integrate CHEETAS at multiple DoD ranges and labs.
• Collaborate with system administrators and developers to resolve deployment issues.
• Work within diverse environments, including secure vaults with no internet connectivity.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active U.S. government TS/SCI security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 10 years of DoD experience.
• Experience with Hadoop, SQL Server Big Data Cluster, Kubernetes, Linux distributions, Windows Server, VMWare.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in big data environments.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in deploying and troubleshooting Big Data tools.
• Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and with stakeholders at various levels.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Over 10 years of experience in government/defense labs.
• Experience with DoD programs like JSF, TENA, JMETC.
• Mentoring abilities and knowledge of cybersecurity policies.
