Synechron is seeking a highly motivated Big Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions for our clients in the Dallas area. You will collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust technical designs.

The role requires hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, Spark Streaming, and NoSQL databases, plus proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python. We offer a competitive compensation package and global opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Expertise in Hadoop, Spark, and related technologies.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, and HBase.
• Knowledge of data ingestion and processing using Spark Streaming and Flume.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Experience with DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement big data solutions to meet the needs of the business
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Collaborate with data scientists to create predictive models and analyze large data sets
• Design and implement data ingestion pipelines using Spark Streaming and Flume
• Manage and maintain big data systems in a production environment
• Monitor and optimize the performance of big data systems to ensure they meet business requirements.
