Nextek, Inc. in Madison, AL is seeking a detail-oriented Bids & Proposal Manager to lead RFQ/quote activities for electronics manufacturing services.

You will develop pricing, collaborate with sales, production, and engineering, and drive accurate, timely proposals to support growth. The role requires strong communication, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Office and CRM tools, with a focus on improving quoting workflows and KPIs.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electronics Manufacturing or Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS).
• Proven experience in quoting, sales support, or customer service.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM quoting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic understanding of pricing strategies and cost structures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the RFQ/Quote Process from RFQ Receipt to Final Proposal Offer.
• Develop a streamlined process to accommodate increased RFQs/Quotes.
• Prepare and deliver accurate quotes to customers based on specs, pricing guidelines, and customer requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, production, engineering and procurement teams to gather information for quotes.
• Track and report KPIs for quotes, integrating metrics into CRM (D365) as needed.
• Maintain and update pricing databases and quotation templates for consistency and accuracy.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding quotes and provide clarifications as needed.
• Track and follow up on outstanding quotes to support sales conversion.
• Assist in analyzing quote data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop labor models and write detailed proposals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all quoting activities.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Bids & Proposal Manager to join our team in Madison, AL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely quotes for our products and services, ensuring clear communication with clients and internal teams to support sales and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire RFQ/Quote Process from RFQ Receipt to Final Proposal Offer

Requirements

• Experience in Electronics Manufacturing, preferred quoting experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services
• Proven experience in quoting, sales support, or customer service role
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with CRM or quoting software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of pricing strategies and cost structures is a plus
• B.S./B. or equivalent in experience required
