Job summary

CAI is seeking a Proposal Specialist to support our field operations and business development teams in generating competitive proposals. This dynamic role requires strategic thinking, flexibility, and the ability to shift priorities while maintaining attention to detail under multiple deadlines.

You will lead the end-to-end proposal development from creation to bid submission, collaborate with practice leaders and operations, draft responses, review quality, and assist with process improvements

Qualifications

• BA or BS in English, liberal arts, business, engineering, marketing, or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience developing and producing proposals.
• Experience with pharmaceutical industry or professional services to pharma preferred.
• Technical experience related to the services is highly desired.
• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Flexibility to work extra hours and shift priorities while maintaining quality.
• Ability to understand and organize large volumes of information.
• Excellent proposal coordination: planning, organization, communication, resource management.
• Exceptional written and verbal English communication; professional demeanor.
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills; CRM experience desired.
• Ability to work with Adobe and Microsoft templates; adhere to corporate standards.
• Team player willing to assist across tasks; proactive communication with supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with practice leaders, business development and operations to develop proposals.
• Review and measure the quality of proposals written by others.
• Draft proposals using industry best practices and tailored language.
• Assist with continuous process improvement and lessons learned.
• Handle a variety of response types including detailed RFPs, RFIs, Cost Opinions.
• Lead the overall proposal development from creation to bid submission.
