Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is hiring a Bike Technician to build and repair bicycles, providing expert service in the Bike Department and recommending products based on customer needs. You will follow established procedures, help customers with equipment choices, and contribute to a strong store experience.

In this role you’ll also promote warranty and loyalty programs, maintain bike displays, and support sales goals while ensuring safety and accurate merchandising across the department.

Qualifications

• Prior experience of building, repairing, and selling bicycles preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to work extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours).

Responsibilities

• Create a world-class customer experience by providing passionate customer service and selling through customer engagement, specifically (but not limited to) our Bike Department.
• Uphold company standards for merchandise presentation.
• Demonstrate ability to genuinely interact with customers to show passion, knowledge, dedication, and commitment in their sport or activity.
• Promote company programs including warranty sales, Scorecard loyalty, private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Build and repair bikes in accordance with established procedures and assist with assembling exercise equipment as needed.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage of Bike Department to Company standards.
