Child Care Resources Inc. is seeking a dynamic Retail Sales Associate to help cyclists of all levels find the perfect ride. You will drive sales and build relationships while delivering expert advice on bikes, accessories, and store offerings.

Ideal candidates have a friendly, customer-centric approach, a talent for problem-solving, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience preferred in retail sales.
• Previous bike shop sales experience preferred.
• Interest in working in a team environment with a focus on service.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain positive relations with employees and customers.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Lift up to 40 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and guide them through the sales process to identify the right products.
• Provide friendly, enthusiastic customer service.
• Open/close cash registers and balance cash drawers.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and policies.
• Describe merchandise and explain use and care to customers.
• Merchandise products according to plan and demonstrate use.

• Assist with other duties as assigned.

You'll use your passion for cycling and enthusiasm for helping others to deliver an unparalleled customer experience. A key focus will be driving sales while building strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike. Key responsibilities include: interacting with customers to provide expert advice on bike purchases, accessorizing, and other store offerings; collaborating with colleagues to keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing; and consistently going above and beyond to meet individual customer needs through friendly, personalized service. Ideal candidates possess a positive and adaptable nature, a talent for problem-solving, and a customer‑centric work style. Preference will be given to those with retail sales or riding experience, but all applicants are encouraged to apply!

What You’ll Do

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Greet customers and utilize the sales process to understand a customer’s needs and ascertain the right combination of products and services for the customer.
• Provide positive and excited one of a kind customer service.
• Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making deposits.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices.
• Describe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customers.
• Merchandise product according to sales plan.
• Demonstrate use or operation of merchandise.
• Maintain level of cleanliness throughout the day.
• Inventory stock and requisition new stock.
• Prepare merchandise for purchase or rental.
• Other duties as needed/ assigned.

Requirements

Requirements include but are not limited to:

• Minimum 1 year experience preferred working as a retail sales associate.
• Previous bike shop sales experience preferred.
• Interest in working in a team environment committed to providing excellent sales and service experience while increasing sales through service
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain open and positive relations with employees and customers
• Interest in developing own skills and knowledge
• Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends
• Ability to periodically lift 40 pounds
