Job summary

The Wisconsin Bike Fed is seeking a Bicycle Safety Educator and Program Assistant to advance adult education and community outreach across Wisconsin. This full-time role supports planning, scheduling, and promoting courses for residents in Southeast Wisconsin and beyond.

Responsibilities include coordinating class logistics, identifying hosts, promoting registration, teaching when needed, and collaborating with partners to further Bike Fed’s mission. Weekend/evening work is required.

Qualifications

• Experience riding a bicycle for both recreation and transportation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Zoom for communication and planning.
• Social media and basic graphic design skills for promotion.
• Excellent speaking and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Understanding of multi-modal transportation habits and safety considerations.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Work virtually and in-person at locations across Wisconsin.
• Research and help identify potential class hosts and partners.
• Coordinate and execute class logistics.
• Assist with promotion of classes and registration of participants.
• Assist and teach classes as needed.
• Support Bike Fed’s mission with other projects as assigned.
