Job summary

Revolution in Boulder, CO is seeking a Seasonal Bicycle Mechanic to maintain and repair bikes for our bike-share fleet. The role includes field and shop work with safety checks and occasional cargo bike maintenance.

The position is full-time seasonal (32 hours/week) through 11/30/26, offering a 4-day work week, competitive pay, and a supportive team culture. Candidate must enjoy bikes and urban environments.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• Bicycle mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience cycling in an urban environment, in all weather conditions, desired.
• Proven technical and mechanical aptitude, innovation and critical thinking.
• Ability to repair E-Bike specific issues.
• Ability to repair basic bicycle electronics.
• Ability to manage repair schedule.
• Proficiency with computers and ability to learn new software.
• Highly organized.
• Excitement, interest in bike share, and sense of humor a must!

Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance of the Bike Shop Manager and Operations Manager.
• Perform safety checks and repairs in the field and shop.
• Repair bikes as needed to company specifications.
• Diagnose E-bikeissues using various software tools.
• Follow inventory management procedures for bike parts and tools.
• Perform in field repairs on occasion.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on cargo bikes when necessary.
• Handle public interactions in the field in a friendly and professional manner.
• Must diligently maintain accurate service records for all repairs completed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time, 32 hours per week, 4 days per week, Non-exempt, Seasonal position (anticipated end date 11/30/26)

Schedule:

Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM or Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Physical Requirements and Special Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires frequent and repetitive bending, stooping, lifting up to 65 pounds. Must be comfortable riding an E-bike in busy urban urban environments. May require warehouse and light office work when necessary. This is a full-time, seasonal position expected to work 32 hours per week (4 days per week, 8 hours per day) weekend hours are required. This role requires the ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand, understand the speech of another person, see details of objects that are less than a few feet away, stand or sit for several hours at a time.
