Job summary

Casa Esperanza is seeking a Recovery Specialist for a full-time role, Monday–Friday 6am–2pm, in Massachusetts. The employee will manage safety, security, client care, and coordination with Case Management and Nursing staff in a bilingual environment (English/Spanish).

This role includes crisis intervention, medication monitoring, and daily operations across the program. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preferred qualifications including LADC II/III, Plus First Aid/CPR,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Associate's Degree preferred where applicable.
• LADC II or LADC III preferred.
• First Aid/CPR Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Overdose prevention training is preferred/required.
• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Must demonstrate ability to relate to a substance use treatment population in a sensitive manner.
• Interest and willingness to work in a multicultural setting.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
• Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
• Manages difficult or emotional client situations; responds promptly and maintains confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program safety and security, monitor activities, front desk coverage, and client scheduling.
• Provide crisis intervention and medications monitoring as needed.
• Attend mandatory safety trainings and agency meetings.
• Coordinate client activities and refer to appropriate staff for support.
• Maintain logs for medications, property, and client sign-in/out.
• Collaborate with Case Management and Nursing staff to assist clients.
• Perform rounds and complete required checklists and logs.
• Assist with intake paperwork and bed availability communications.
• Escort clients during breaks and meals, and inventory supplies as needed.
