Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Business Intelligence Intern to turn data into insights that support smarter decisions across Restaurant Operations. You’ll partner with analysts and cross-functional teams to develop reports and analytics that help leaders Make a Difference in how we serve guests and operate our restaurants.

This on-site role at the San Antonio Home Office is full-time with remote flexibility on Fridays.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor’s degree program (minimum 80 hours completed).
• Strong interest in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to document work clearly and consistently.
• Effective time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate in a team environment.
• Proficiency using computers and standard office tools.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of reports and dashboards using enterprise data sources.
• Perform basic data analysis and preparation to support business reporting needs.
• Assist in translating business questions into clear reporting requirements.
• Test and validate reports to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
• Help document report logic, data definitions, and naming standards.
• Participate in quality assurance activities following established guidelines.
• Track project tasks, updates, and documentation during report development.
• Collaborate closely with analysts to learn BI tools, data structures, and processes.
