Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Full-Stack Application Engineer to design, implement, and maintain sophisticated BI solutions. You will work with stakeholders to ensure BI systems deliver actionable insights, mentor junior and mid-level developers, and promote best practices in BI development.

This role is based in Sparks, NV with hybrid in-office and remote collaboration options. You will design front-end apps, data pipelines, and semantic models, build reports and dashboards, and ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.
• 5+ years in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related role.
• Advanced proficiency in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with complex queries and relational databases.
• Extensive ETL experience and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Front-End Applications, data pipelines, and workflows.
• Develop semantic layers, code repositories, and data transforms.
• Analyze data sources, flows, and timing to optimize pipelines and displays.
• Create reports, dashboards, and semantic models for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into data products.
• Apply data architecture concepts including models, lineage, governance, and optimization.
• Contribute to version control, testing, and CI/CD within the data ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot data issues and ensure data quality across systems.
