Job summary

Profile Films, a Grand Rapids, MI-based extruder and converter of plastic film, seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to build data pipelines, integrate sources, and deliver dashboards for actionable insights. You will support governance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize BI workflows in a modern data stack.

The role emphasizes transitioning Tableau dashboards to Fabric, designing scalable data models, and ensuring data quality across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in data analytics, engineering, science, information systems, or related field.
• Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI data visualization tools.
• Intermediate to advanced SQL proficiency with ability to write, optimize and troubleshoot queries.
• Proficiency with Python or similar language for data manipulation/automation.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable cloud data platform (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Experience designing dashboards/reports in Tableau and/or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines, integrating diverse data sources and optimizing databases for performance.
• Create front-end client-facing models to highlight process opportunities and operational insights.
• Design, build, and maintain user-facing dashboards and reports for data-driven decisions.
• Lead migration of Tableau dashboards/reports onto Fabric backend and evaluate BI toolset (Tableau/Power BI).
• Develop data models and automation to improve data ingestion, cleaning, and transformation.
• Document data pipelines, models, and transformations to ensure knowledge sharing.
