Job summary

SSA Marine seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to join the Procurement Data & Tools team. This role blends software development, data engineering, analytics, and product thinking to deliver internal apps, dashboards, data pipelines, and integrations for procurement teams.

You will work with users to define problems, shape solutions, and deliver production-ready software with measurable business value, including AI-assisted workflows to improve tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Sound product judgment, clear communication with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in at least one general-purpose language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#, with building usable interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with procurement users to understand workflows and turn ambiguous needs into clear requirements.
• Build and maintain internal applications, reports, data pipelines, data models, automations, and system integrations.
• Build and ship with coding agents as a core workflow, define the work, provide context, and verify results.
• Occasionally analyze data to answer business questions and communicate findings clearly.
• Shape how solutions work and feel with product and UI/UX judgment.
• Contribute to AI-driven tooling, experimenting with agent skills, tools, and workflows.
• Assist in deploying, supporting, and improving solutions based on user feedback.
• Learn and apply new technologies as business needs evolve.
