Job summary

Suddath Companies seeks a BI Developer to design, develop, maintain and enhance BI solutions. You will work with data from SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL, and various data sources to deliver dashboards and reports using Power BI and DAX.

Daily duties include reviewing production reports, planning with teams, estimating tasks, and communicating progress to management while ensuring standards and processes for BI development are followed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in analytics or BI development
• Experience with MS SQL Server and Power BI preferred
• Experience with diverse data sources (SQL, Oracle, flat files, Web API, XML, EDI)
• Proficient in writing SQL queries (T-SQL) and relational databases
• Strong communication and ability to influence colleagues

Responsibilities

• Work with data sources: SQL Server, Oracle, Azure SQL
• Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and DAX
• Optimize report performance and environment
• Plan tasks, estimate efforts and drive project schedules
• Support requirements gathering from business users
• Assist leader in BI initiatives
• Communicate project status to management
• Document BI standards and processes
• Resolve issues in the report environment
