Title: BI Developer - P3

Location: Remote, Canada

Reports To: Director, Data Visualization and QA

The Role:

As part of the Data Visualization & QA team, the Data Visualization & QA Analyst is responsible for creating and maintaining reports that drive data quality and analytics solutions for external customers and internal business users. The successful candidate will have a passion for data and an attention to detail to ensure that each version of our external reports is accurate and meets all end-user needs. While our team focuses on the right tool for the job, this role will specialize in ThoughtSpot, with exposure to Tableau, Palantir, SQL, AWS, and other tools. Key skills include team collaboration, communication, organization, timeliness, and excellent attention to detail.

The Impact You Will Have in This Role:

Our data products support the Data & Analytics division. Internal dashboards and QA will enhance team functionality, while external products generate revenue and provide solutions for the automotive industry.

What You'll Be Doing in This Role:

1. Maintain and iterate on existing external BI products.
2. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, product teams, and internal customers to maintain data integrity and enhance QA processes.
3. Own client-facing dashboards.
4. Analyze maintenance tasks with QA and numerical accuracy in mind.
5. Analyze large datasets and create interactive visualizations to support business decisions and QA processes.
6. Develop proof-of-concept visualizations and iterate quickly.
7. Work cross-functionally with BI developers and other business units.
8. Perform ad-hoc data analysis, QA, and reporting.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency with ThoughtSpot, Tableau Desktop, Palantir, or similar BI tools.
• At least 2 years of experience creating BI dashboards.
• Experience with database software such as RedShift, SQL, MySQL.
• Experience publishing and maintaining interactive dashboards.
• Ability to create complex calculations and aggregations within BI tools.
• Understanding of formatting to replicate JD Power's look in BI tools.
• Ability to translate requirements into live dashboards with deadlines.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Passion for data visualization to tell complex stories.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, CS, Engineering, or related field.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with automotive data.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis (numpy, pandas).
• ThoughtSpot certification or advanced skills.
• Shareable examples of data visualizations.
