Job summary

AFL in Duncan, SC is seeking a motivated Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain dashboards and data models that enable data-driven decisions across the organization. You will work closely with the operational team to support manufacturing intelligence and continuous improvement through hands-on BI development.

The role emphasizes foundational BI skills, data cleaning, and collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver reliable reporting and insights for core manufacturing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
  • 0–2 years of experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling concepts.
  • Familiarity with Power Query (M language) and introductory-level DAX expressions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and modeling using Power Query and DAX.
  • Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to gather reporting requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of reporting data.
  • Support monitoring of data refresh schedules and troubleshoot data issues.
  • Document report specifications, processes, and data sources for future reference.
  • Stay up to date with Power BI best practices and basic visualization techniques.
  • Analyze data to support continuous improvement activities.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our team in Duncan, SC. This position is ideal for candidates who have foundational knowledge of data visualization and reporting and are eager to grow their skills in business intelligence. Working directly with the company’s operational team, the Power BI Developer will support the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data models that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The position will be a critical part of AFL’s Operational Excellence strategy, providing hands‑on development and implementation of dashboards to monitor core manufacturing processes, and providing essential manufacturing intelligence for problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
